Roland is living one hell of a life. Getting into UCLA, he tried to make it as a producer for a hot minute--living up the Los Angeles lifestyle to the best of his ability. The city of a million dreams was the perfect place for the world's biggest dreamer. They chewed him up and spat him out. So that didn't work.
But that was fine! Who cared about movies? Music was the thing that mattered most. So he tried to become a rockstar. He actually managed to pick up a contract at a (pretty shitty) label. One of his songs made it to the top 100 playlist! (It reached #98 for exactly one week before being forgotten about by the whole world). But the label took almost all of the money, and he wasn't able to come up with any more decent songs.
Broke, he decided to hedge his bets and go eastwards. All his siblings were making it big in New York! So could he!
So now he's decided that what really matters in life isn't his own dreams--but fulfilling the dreams of others. He works as a talent agent now. Still fairly low level, not yet niche enough to have a specialization--but still. He's going to make it. Big.
